CIVIL UNREST

About Me

Civil Unrest formed in San Diego, CA in the winter of 1996. Drawn to the raw power of punk rock and the musicality and aggression of heavy metal, these elements were woven into a viciously energetic live performance that captivated music fans and commanded the respect of bands they shared the stage with. First entering the recording studio in the late 90s to record demos, they returned for the 2000 radio single 'Threnody' and then again in 2002, incorporating elements of death and black metal for the 'Hobart Trax' EP, before taking an extended hiatus in 2004.

Having recently re-grouped, Civil Unrest is back with a vengeance and their long-awaited first full-length album - 'Ravaging the Purity' - aiming to push their way into Nothern California, Arizona, Nevada and beyond in an effort to establish a community of musicians to perform and collaborate with.
