Heresy of the Shadows

About Me

Yes, we use to have a digerridoo in a song or two, and trust me, its really not that awesome.
Chapter 1:
It all started when friends 80-Two and Queef started chillen together, with 80-Two singing over Queef's riffs. Soon, when they decided to start a band, Queef called his friend Scok to do the second guitar duties. Scok decisively said yes to the offer, and even gave them a place to practice. They soon recruted in demand drummer God Hates Emo, and got their friend Brooke to play bass. After a few months of practicing and writing songs, they emerged with a set of live shows over the spring/summer of 2003.
With addictive riffs, dark lyrics, and a commanding stage presence like no other, HOTS was ahead of its time, playing to an audience who was obsessed with the trend, and blowing their minds. HOTS would play at various venues over a couple years, and recorded two powerful discs, The "Backroom Playground" EP (2002), and, after a couple line-up changes "The Comatose" EP (2004).
After some problems within the band, ranging from personal to musical conflicts, HOTS disbanded and its members created several new projects including Vengeance Forge, Mirror Image, Rites of Ash, and Gross Excess in late 2004.
Chapter 2:
Then in the winter of 2006, they came back to headline the 3rd annual Numbed Concert as a 4 piece. This line-up included original drummer God Hates Emo, Brooke on bass, Queef on the guitars and vocals, and Scok on vocals and guitar. Since their reformation, HOTS has been rewriting old songs to give them new life, and HOTS has formed a new, more aggressive and energetic sound. HOTS is now back and stronger than ever, and make sure to see a live show, it is unlike anything else.

NOTE: If you are seeing us live, and realize that one of our members is not playing, and not even on stage, do not panic. Said member has simply spotted an emo/hardcore dancer, and is promptly beating the shit out of them.
