Through music, I can touch people. It doesn't matter the color of your skin; It doesn't matter your gender; It doesn't matter who U love or who U dislike; It doesn't matter what U do in your daily life or how much money U make; Music is a healer and soother it makes U forget your troubles. When I play my music, it's to wipe the pain, hurt or sorrow away & to take U to another place if only for 1 night!! ****************************************Born and raised in Joliet, IL I was always around music my mother RIP Gwendolyn Youngblood was heavy into music she had her own traveling gospel group the Royal Harmonetts and also played various instruments mainly piano. Through my parents RIP dad Deacon Curtis Youngblood, I was fortunate enough to be brought up in church Mt. Zion Baptist church of Joliet, IL. Church is my forground my background and my foundation, it’s where I began singing and playing whatever instrument was available. I attended Joliet Junior College as a Computer Science major Lewis University for Business and Columbia College majoring in Media Management and Contracting. Through the years I've been fortunate to sing and play with some AWESOME people and groups. At an early age I performed with Andy Williams at Rialto Theater in Joliet, IL. For over 15 years I've been a member of World Renown Grammy, Stellar and Dove Award winning gospel group "Rev Milton Brunson and the Thompson Community Singers" of Chicago, IL. Also drumming for various gospel groups thru whom I had the opportunity to meet, drum and or sing for artists such as…Daryle Coley, Yolanda Adams, Kim Stratton and Darious Brooks to name a few on the Gospel tip on the secular end of things I've worked with Bobby Jones, Otis Clay, Artie “Blues Boy†White, Koko Taylor and soooo many GREAT artist. God has allowed me to perform in and out of the U.S. Europe, Rome Italy, Paris France, Germany, England and so on. I was selected to go to Bosnia and Afghanistan to perform for the troops with world renown recording group Stormy Weather whom I performed with on several occasions, also performing with Hall of Fame member Mr. Billy Shelton of singing group The Spaniels, whom I’ve opened for the O’Jays, Temptations, Stylistics and many other great groups, drumming for Dan Darrah opening for Marty Casey and the Love Hammers, King Snakes and many other rock bands playing to sold out House of Blues and other venues… And the story goes on… My first female band was “Sisters†at an early age organized in my home church. Later in life I began another female band UB “Ultimately Blessed†in 1998 and was able to play for a lot of great people and a lot of great places such as House band for Isaac Hayes Club/Restaurant Neo-Soul events and more. We (UB) were so blessed that we always gave back to the community in the way of giving a yearly benefit concert for organizations such as Battered Woman and Abused Children (SWWWT) and illnesses like Sickle Cell Anemia, Breast Cancer, Prostate Cancer, Diabetes and more. I was playing for so many others I started getting request from quite a few people to do more of my old school type of music so I began another band SAYYES! in 2003 we have played and continue to play a lot of great places; we’ve opened up for Kindred Family Soul, Raheem DeVaughn, the Whispers and more. We continue to grow and God continues to bless. If I left out anything or anyone charge it to my head not my heart. I just wanted to give you a brief overview of ME! Well that’s enough of that stuff ;-) MUCHLOVE!!! Thanks for visiting my space! *********Las Vegas Performing with some of the 1 Groups!
