In 2002 I was knocked off my motorbike by a driver who didn't see me. After Spending a considerable amount of time in hospital, 20 months, I was released in December 2003.
I have been left with a few problems to sort out since, but there's no point dwelling on it, as you can't go back.
As result I'm still finding out about myself.
I had a job I loved before and I spent most of my time there. I was a Senior I Children's Radiographer. That means I mainly took x-rays of children.It bugs me when people use the word 'Normal' in reference to me.
I have a question, what is 'Normal' and who says it is?
I still have two arms and legs!!!I get frustrated with myself as I can remember doing whatever I wanted whenever I wanted, like surfing with my friend Scotty at a local beach, SCUBA diving with another friend,Gary and snowboarding/skiing with another, Phil.
I have even had a lesson in a helicopter and had a go at flying it. Mind 8 seconds was all I could hold a hover for. That's the problem I can remember doing things much more energetic, and still want to do them now, but find it very difficult. However I'm determined to overcome.
Recently I took up archery but I've had no volunteers to put an apple on their head. Hmmm! I wonder why?
