I'll do anything once and most of the time twice. I play every sport from baseball to mountain biking. I've been called a bit of a daredevil, well I've been called a lot of things but most would get edited off this site, and I love a challenge especially a physical one. I'm very outgoing and I've been known to dance every now and then. I love playing sports all day and then having a few beers with my friends after the game.
Anyone who can hang out and have fun with my friends.
I know everybody says they like all kinds of music but I really do. I've sat with a friend and drank beer and talked over country music all night (real country not the pop crap) and I've been to a Jimmy Buffet concert ( I think). I've also been to underground hip hop shows in Philly and New York as well as to Dave Matthews concerts. One of my favorite groups are the Roots.
I'm a big movie fan and have a new found respect for how they are made now. I shouldn't say this but I'm a sucker for a good romantic comedy but my favorite movies are the epic types like Braveheart or Gladiator. Tombstone and Rounders are classics and I love a good mobster flick. I also love the inspirtational sports movies like Hoosiers but since baseball was a big part of my life The Natural and Bull Durham are high on my list as well. I also have a funny feeling that a movie called The Longest Yard will soon be one of my favorites.
To a lot of peoples surprise I do enjoy reading. I go on binges and will read non stop for a few months and then not pick up a book for a month. I like philosophical books like Utopia as well as some of the best sellers like Angels and Demons. Most books I've read were refferred to me from friends. My favorite book is The Brothers K
I don't like it when people say that their hero is some athlete or far off person they have never met who accomplished some feat that was purely physical. In my opinion everyday people are far more heroic. It's easy to find motavation to do something great when that's what you are paid to do and you make millions if you do it. That's why my heroes are my father who put his family ahead of him and took care of his resposiblities with no rewards. My friend Jesse who became paralyzed while attending medical school as he was trying to help his neighbor. He only missed one semester and is now married to a beautiful woman and is a docotor in North Carolina. And a 15 year old boy in Washington DC named Josh Lewis who when he was in my middle school class was a great person as well a great athlete and is now going through school and life in a wheel chair. These people are true heroes because I know them, I know what is inside of them, and they make everyone around them want to be better people.
