Mo’Nique Singleton Self Explanatory Productions -Sales Director Monique Singleton was Born and raised in Atlanta, Ga in the early 80’s. She is the eldest of four children. Raised in a musical household, she began entertaining at a very young age. Although heavily influenced by gospel, hip-hop music & fashion, especially Mary J Blige, Naomi Campbell & Tyra Banks, it was a TV performance by Whitney Houston performing, “Greatest Love of All” when Monique was 7 that inspired this future star. She knew then that she wanted to make the world smile through entertainment “After appearing in Ebony Magazine July 2007 edition, I received so much love! I enjoy that part of it, someone appreciating my talents enough to just say so…” -Mo’Nique This intellectual beauty has experience as an actress, singer, & Model. After graduating from high school, she moved to Boston for college and began furthering her career taking advantage of being closer to the Big Apple. At this time she was scouted by a modeling agency that placed her in runway shows and found her PERFECT to represent popular urban clothing lines like Girbaud, Azzure, RP55, and Essare Danier. In Boston, MA Mo’Nique was Lead Instructor for the prestigious John Casablancas Modeling & Acting Center as well as an agent for the MTM Agency in Boston, MA. Back in Atlanta, she hosted The Underground Talent Mart, where she interviewed and introduced unsigned and independent artists. Monique was also featured in music videos: Ciara “One, Two, Step..”, Lloyd “HeyYoung Girl”, and of course her cameo spot in Brooke Valentine’s “Girl Fight” Also, after moving back to Atlanta, she quickly was employed as TV Correspondent for Rolling Out Magazines Webcast TV, interviewing fashion designers & celebrities such as Adrene (Pieces of Adrene Boutique Owner/Celebrity Stylist), TERRELL OWENS (Dallas Cowboys), Jilene Coggins (Celebrity Stylist/Envy Boutique Owner), Frank Ski (V103), Traci Houston & Larissa Eason (Celebrity Stylist/Sole Fetish Boutique Owners), Ne-Yo (R&B), Mychael Knight (Project Runway Star/ MAJK Fragrance/Fashion Designer) & many many more!! Miss Mo’ as she is called by most in the industry, is currently working in Retail Management and as a Sales Director with Self-Explanatory Productions. She Believes in fighting for many worthy causes especially orphans, battered women, & rehabilitated prisoners & those who have been falsely imprisoned. She has volunteered for Cambridge Cares About AIDS (Cambridge, MA), Special Olympics (Atl, GA), Hearts to Nourish Hope (Atl, GA), Youth Ministry (Nationwide), & Youth Under Construction (Jonesboro, GA).GO TO VISIT MY BLOGS ASAP! :-) I have always had a spiritual background and calling but used to ALWAYS run away from it... Now I have embraced God as the Head of My Life and the pics that you see are great memories, however do not represent me fully as a person... the acting & hosting are hobbies that are now secondary to my Walk with God.... Although, I enjoy acting I am first a soul winning Woman of GOD who has a wonderful calling on my life and I have dedicated my earthly life to serving, exalting, & worshipping Him....
