Umm where do I start? Yeah, I probably seem pretty boring to most people but who do I need to impress?
I hate sports of any kind, although if I did have a favorite team it would be Ohio State...loyalty to where I live and all ya know. Plus I like their colors. I'm not into the whole club scene. You won't find me hiding out in a club or a bar, where ya might find me is sitting in front of a campfire with a margarita. I love the outdoors. Camping and all camping activities are my favorite things to do for entertainment. I love hiking, fishing, cooking on a campfire and veggin' out in front of the fire.
I'm somewhat of a naturalist. I like to grow my own food and put it up for the winter. I make my own cold processed soap from my own recipe. I make most food from scratch...noodles, grind corn for cornbread, bake bread, blend my own tea from herbs and spices...you get the picture. I use a lot herbs and essential oils for healing. My favorite blends are rosemary and spearmint or patchouli and sweet orange.
I used to have my own store called Scentsible Pleasures in St. Marys OH. I made my own candles, soaps and craft items along with selling unique gift items. I closed it a few yrs ago when I decided I wanted to take more time for myself and spend more time with my husband after the kids moved out. Sometimes I miss it but I don't miss the long hours and rarely having a day off.
We just recently moved to Wisconsin. Our little Grand baby Levi is still in Ohio and I miss him very much. We try to get home as often as we can.
As much as we miss Ohio and our family, I have to admit is nice here in Wisconsin. It is beautiful here. If you are an outdoor enthusiast, you would truly love it. Here are some pics I took of a nice walking path along the river close to our apartment. The paths go on for miles.
