Thomas Bekhuis Experience

The band is Thomas Bekhuis, Artis Orubs and Magnus Skovdahl. Currently based in Amsterdam, this progressive power trio is finishing their debut album consisting of only original material. In the autumn of 2006 the band started out as an instrumental jazz-rock guitar trio, but soon after Thomas began singing and the music became more song-like. The group's original sound comes from 3 rock players who studied jazz music and who like to approach rock music with improvisation. In the summer of 2007 the band toured in the Basque Country of Spain, where they also recorded their first EP. Regurarely gigging in and out Amsterdam, the band started to work on new material and decided to record their debut album in 2008, which is now about to be finished. In November of 2008 the band did another tour in Latvia and Lithuenia, playing already their complete album in a live version.
