The story of Tessera began some years back when Bastian and Oderyd started writing songs together. This cooperation started because Oderyd wrote a lot of lyrics but no music and because Bastian wrote a lot of songs without lyrics.
This turned out to be a good idea since a lot of good material all of a sudden came to life.
They decided to buy a studio and start recording some songs, and did so for a while.
Then a beautiful day in April of 2006, Oderyd met a guy through a mutual friend (Krikkan). This guy, lets call him Kenneth turned out to be a talented classical guitar player. Oderyd showed Kenneth some of the songs he had made with Bastian in their previous project, Kenneth liked it and auditioned. Kenneth became an official member and Tessera was borne April third. The first song came to life only a few weeks after that day.
The band felt as if something was missing and decided to get an additional musician.
After some brain storming they all agreed they needed a viola player, and Kenneth just so happened to know one.
Danne auditioned and he too got stuck with Bastian and Oderyd.
Today Tessera is in the studio recording their new material, what you get on the page is a little preview of just that.
