Katrin

Icelandic born and bred Katrin has true viking blood. She first started singing when her brother started teaching her nursery rhymes at age 2, and since then she has hardly stopped. Always being involved with music whether it was writing and performing her own material, choirs, semi-professional musicals, backing vocals, covers or anything she could get into, she has learned to love genres ranging from bachata and country to hip hop and rock.
Having completed level 5 of classical music, Katrin decided to shift her focus to contemporary music and finished her diploma from ICMP in 2006. She is currently doing her BMus due to graduate in the spring of 2010.
A mixture of Raw, powerful emotion, Kat’s voice will cut through your resolve and pull you into a song whether you are a fan or not, get ready to become one! The Rock Diva with the musical abilities of an R’n’B queen, Lyricist and a Hip Hop Junkie she has written and recorded pop, r’n’b and funk songs and is currently recording a highly anticipated EP with her band ‘HalfStepUncles’. She has also done extensive work with various hip-hop artists and is currently collecting finished material and recording more for a mix CD due out later this year.
She’s due to make a big splash on the UK music scene in 2009 having already done work/with for Nokia, BBC, Mushroom Records, Tim Rice, Shola Ama, Sewuese, TMS Productions, China National TV...and the list goes on! Make sure you stay tuned for new songs, collaborations and upcoming shows!
