The Pitch Drop Experiment

About Me

The Pitch Drop Experiment is the name of a long-term experiment measuring the flow of a piece of pitch over many years. Since 1927, this glob of congealed black tar has been slowly, slowly dripping through a funnel, at a rate of approximately one drop every nine years. To date, no one has ever actually witnessed a drop fall. The experiment is in the view of a webcam although technical problems prevented the most recent drop from being recorded. It could probably seem to be an uninteresting experiment but in our experience... Oh, please also note that we do not want "comments" or so. As for the "adds", we choose to privilege close friends, collaborators, personal heroes, stateless artists, "starving angels" & some "beautiful & moody walkers" met "here, there & everywhere" by accident on MySpace. "Our music could be a music written in a foreign language that we would not intend to completely manage". Please note that the work is in progress & that each drop (free downloads) will probably evolve sooner or later according as the mood takes us... This fact explains why the number of the visits will always be more important that the number of the ratings. Thank you...
