Born Italian, with a Belgian mother, Manuel Scrima grew up with influences from many European cultures. Africa has become his beloved place, its pack full of dreams where he showed its ability to portrait and not only report the wounds of a continent filled up with colors and life. Recognized as one of the emerging new talents of Italian photography, Manuel is dedicating most of his time working on a series of international charity exhibitions with ICROSS (an international NGO). He is the creative director of "Awakening", an ambitous multimedia Africa experience that involves artists from every continent... In late 2007 Manuel started to manage Create Africa, a Kenyan based publishing house. Manuel is also a multimedia consultant specialized in entertainment and and innovation technology. Currently he lives between Rome, Milan and Nairobi.
