About Me

PJ Schruck ... Techno ... House ... Dub ... eFunk ... lo-fi ....PJ Schruck startet up doing electronic live sets in between 2001 when he lived in Lisbon for a year... High above a busy lisbon road with a view to an wood of antennas and the periodic sound of car noises, depending to the traffic lights his beats and sequences developed quickly to his first live-set. He used mostly cheap synthesizers, guitar effects, the roland PMA-5 pocket sequencer and his E-mu sampler... trashy analog stuff... The first livingroom concerts soon were carried off to the local bars and clubs up in bairo alto, the famous lisbon party quarter. Lucky as he was a lokal DJ watched his first public show at the "Mexe-Café" and he putted him in contact with the lisbon DJ-Scene. More shows followed ... several times at the great "OP-Art", at the days it has been a relaxed café, at the nights it always became one of the hottest spots in town for electronic music ... organised by Journeys and Pulsar. (thanks Jari!!!)Later back in germany he did an improvised tour guiding him to weird places. He played clubs, bars, cafés, livingrooms, kitchens, log-wagons ... still devoloping his style between house, techno, lo-fi, dub and 80s. At this time his first selfproduced and selfdistributed record "since i've allowed the machines to control my day" came out. It's quite rare by now ... but you can ask him if he still has some few CDs in stock. More and the more the computer took it's place in his producing routines, but he never put away his origial machines that still are an important part of his ecstatic live-set.He produced several tracks, without putting them in public except on stage... he also did some music for exhibitions. For instant the opening of the Rimbaud-Koloquium in Würzburg 2005. Where he sampled poems by Rimbaud an remixed the poems like they were music... a little ivorytower-business for a small intelectual scene. With having a proper job as an social worker in Karlsruhe he had to slow down for a while, but he ist still around producing, doing concerts, radio shows...sometimes you find him on a stage screaming, sequencing, throwing the knobs, playing a guitar and setting his theremin on fire... so don't hesitate to contact him if you need an extatic live act for your party or festival, if you need some tracks or even a live-set for your radio-show or if an remix of one of your tracks ist needed.Music is just the moment something special could happen!++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++Würzburge r Wohnzimmer, Hamburger WG-Küchen, Braunschweiger Bauwagenplätze, Lissaboner In-Clubs, Kunstausstellungen und windige Oper- Air-Seitenbühnen...
