Mothra

About Me

Mothra formed in 1993 out of Sydney band, Half, that featured Bill Bostle, ex-King Snake Roost. Bill was reluctant to slum it in Europe whilst trying to get a tour together, so he sent the other three members of the band on ahead with absolutely no intention of ever joining them. So Zeb, Toby and Stuart moved to Holland and formed Mothra. They found a great squat to live in, started buying gear and practising, got a van and started making calls to venues all over Europe in order to get a tour together. By the time they were getting call-backs the squat had been razed to the ground and the band was once more homeless. So, apart from some shows in Holland, the whole thing was essentially off. When they got back to Sydney about a year after they had left, Fugazi asked them to play a support, so the band was reignited and around that time recorded all their songs.
