About Me

I am the author of five books, with number six currently in the works. My children's book titles are: "My Brother the Dog" from Tanglewood Books, three books in a series called "Hey, Ranger" from Globe-Pequot/Falcon Books, and "Love & Loathing," an adult nonfiction book from Eggshells Press. The sixth book "The Deepest Blue" (that's the working title) will be released in 2010.I teach English, Literature, and Humanities at the Art Institute of Salt Lake City, and also present classes and workshops on writing and creativity. I am also an instructor for the Institute of Children's Literature (visit www.institutechildrenslit.com for more info.).I have a B.A. from Westminster College in English and Theater, and an M.F.A. from Vermont College in Writing for Children and Young Adults.I offer workshops for serious writers and for those just starting out.
