I am here for Friends

About Me

Celtic. Genuine card carrying Hippie. Old. Hairy. Semi-retired after 25 years in the Rock and Roll industry. In '05 I worked only at the Coachella Music and Arts Festival and went out on the Warped Tour. Love to Travel. After Warped I spent 6 1/2 weeks cruising from California to Maine to Washington State and back. In '06 after Coachella, and the West coast leg of Warped, I headed up to British Columbia and Alberta for two months of music festivals, and a wonderful stay with new found friends on Hornby Island (the most Hippie-fied place in North America). So far this year I've done some shows with John Densmore of the Doors, and am recording a series of CDs with Hani Naser at the Integratron. Spent two weeks at Coachella and The Stagecoach Festival. Haven't shaved in 41 years. (What's the point? You cut off your beard and it's back the next day!) Love children, as long as I can give them back at the end of the day. (I've helped raise a bunch, but never replicated myself. I love you Tony, Bryn Amber, and Sunny!) Never smoked a cigarette or had a cup of coffee. Really, really, really like big dogs. Can't stand little dogs. My Golden Retriever is named "John Barleycorn Must Die". Walked away from Hollywood and bought a ranch with two houses, at 3600 feet, in the High Desert, a mile and a half from the nearest road, surrounded by B.L.M. land. I sit on my balcony and look out over almost 800 square miles of Dr. Suess type plant life and Jumbo Rocks. Closest neighbor is a Mountain Lion. Just finished drilling 800 feet through solid granite to hit water. Bought a Hot Tub that I keep full of that sweet Mojave Agua, and I'm just bubbling my life away. My Rock'n'Roll nom de guerre is Santa. Look at my picture and you'll understand. Did a whole lot of Road Managing, and worked at "The Country Club" during it's days of being the Heavy Metal Mecca; and at the "Hollywood Palace" during it's Punk heyday. I've worked with everbody from Marilyn Manson to Mandy Moore, The Dead Kennedys to The Grateful Dead, Simple Minds to Simple Plan, Hillary Duff to Duff McKagan, Black Flag to Yellow Card, Bad Religion to Good Charlotte, Bad Brains to B.B. King, Nirvana to Nelson, Tenacious D to Dee-lite, Crosby, Stills and Nash to Bone Thugs -n- Harmony, Poison to Pearl Jam, George Clinton to Bill Clinton, T.S.O.L. to R.E.M., X to El Rayo X. I've even done gigs with Wu-Tang Clan, Jay-Z, Notorious B.I.G., DMX, and all the rest. Had the honor of working with Jerry Lee Lewis, Little Richard, Chuck Berry, John Lee Hooker, Ruth Brown, Lalo Guerrero, Ralph Stanley, Willie Nelson, and James Brown. I worked solid for 25 years, and now I'm just kickin' it. I value friendship above all else; be it a decades old relationship, or a new found amigo.
