I'd like to meet:
A bit of promo
In a mid-july evening a contest held by Universal Music Italy has been set up.
The contest was about making a music video for the forthcoming single for the italian market by british band Take That "Reach Out"
That's why I thought this was time to eventually dust off a bit all the books and passion I got about music videos, and I ended up directing one myself along with two amazing friends of mine:
-
The greatest director/editor/production assistant anyone could wish for, as well as an amazing actress: Gabriella 'Lola' Bergonzi (*Gabry1981*)The most dedicated person in the world to passion about video editing and technology, as well as editor and actor himself: Roberto Cerasuolo (Roby)
Along with them, your Alisha took the challenge to make up an idea from the song and then ended up behind the camera and so what we like to call the "ABC Production Team" started.
The winner was chosen by Universal Music Italy, and on september 10th 2007 our video was chose as the winenr of the contest, getting to be aired on MTV TRL itself. And so I became officially a director... as well :)
a bit of history
On November 16, 1995, my life was doomed, cause I was eventually finding out how it was to be standing first row under a stage.
After living my teen-years very uncommonly, mostly travelling around italy first, then europe, to see live music shows, at 18, after I graduated (incredibily!) as an ITC expert, I moved to Milan.
In 2001 I enrolled at IULM, a communication-media oriented University. I did it just by chance cause I had really no idea what to do in my life and I refused the idea to become just a computer geek. Well by the first month I was there I found out the only way I could've ever be satisfied with my life was to take seriously what I had been doing all my life till that moment: Music.
Since then I tried to focus everything about that. I took extra courses and, as much as possible, I tried to convey subjects about music (yeah... from psichology to linguistics... I won't even start talking about my masterpiece in semiology about music videos... but believe, it IS a masterpiece ).
In 2004 I moved to Dublin, Ireland, where I've been living till October 2006, so for about 2 years. I needed the experience, but I needed to get back to Milan (if it couldn't be London just yet) nonetheless. Then the time for London eventually came when in September 2007 I was offered a Job at MTV, which became just the perfect excuse to turn my life around and becoming the Londoner I've always wanted to be.And along with my bachelor degree course in communication, I entertained myself with... a lot of extra courses and experiences in the music industry. Ireland, Uk, US... see? I don't give up quite easily...
Did I say lately that I *hate* who judges a book by it's cover? Well maybe not hate... but I stand at it very little. If you really want to be entitled to even criticise me it's ok, just first give yourself the chance to know me.
Don't worry, after that you'll have ever more reasons to despise me, but at least they'll be actual reasons, n'est pas better?

You should never expect things to go right the way you're thinking, both in good or in bad, fate is always a little bit more unpredictable that you think it is.
You should't think that if the story doesn't play as you got the plot in mind it's gonna be a failure. It will mostly be just a surprise.
You should start having always 2 perspectives on situations: the bad/sad one will come to you naturally. On the other one, the opposite one, you'll have to work, and harder than that, you'll have to believe it much much more than the other one.
You should start consider just what people exactly say, more than being ready to see hidden meanings. It's useful about this kind of things cause it's very unusual for a person to come to you telling you clearly that you annoyed them. So as long as no one dares to say it, do your best not to be very annoying, but keep, keep on.
Have always a good soundtrack to your life. Something with energy that would make you feel like dancing with a hand waving free above your head.
Keep on smiling, whatever happens, keep on. It will seem pointless sometimes I know, but just the fact that you're smiling will make you feel better, even if you don't really have a reason to. Anyway, if you keep smiling a good readon to keep on will come to you sooner than later.
Don't you ever let yourself hang on bad moments or toughts. Better than that, think of what else can do you, and go do or plan it.
Be the first one interested in yourself or no one else could be really able to have a good interest in you. Know you're worth and why you're worth.
Don't be arrogant, but don't be unnecessarily modest as well.
Don't look at others as they can do everything and you are nothing compared to them. Never doubts your skills and knowledge for one moment, but find always time to improve them of course.

meaningful quotes
- All my life I have wanted to go to bed with, no, have a relationship with, a musician: I'd want her to write songs at home, and ask me what I thought of them, and maybe include one of our private jokes in the lyrics, and thank me in the sleeve notes, maybe even include a picture of me on the inside cover, in the background somewhere, and I could watch her play live from the back, in the wings. (Nick Hornby - High Fidelity)They don't even know what it is to be a fan. Y'know? To truly love some silly little piece of music, or some band, so much that it hurts.(Sapphire - Almost Famous)We are not groupies. Groupies sleep with rock stars because they want to be near someone famous. We are here for the music. We inspire the music. We are Band Aids. (Miss Penny Lane - Almost Famous)
