Uncle Kook

UNCLE WHO???Once upon a time, ever since my daredevil nephew Zachary was born about 10 years ago, our lives have changed irreversibly. From the time he started to talk, one of the first directives that he made was that I was to from then on be "Uncle Cook" after observing me steadfastly at the grill day after day. As the years went on, it became a kind of a joke, but I take my amateur cooking VERY seriously so the rest of the family comedians have shown a great deal of comedic restraint about my cooking (if they know what's good for them). They eat GOOD when I'm around! Well...just about the time that I started to get a little respect on the subject, the (sometimes) sweet Savanna Jane Qualey, the fresh, new, younger sibling to the aforementioned was hatched. This young lady came out kickin' and screamin' and of course much like her ladies' sake of the Williams clan, harpooning directives about such that her life should be of the new family princess that she is. When she started to talk (somewhat rationally) she couldn't say "Cook", so as was born the new, and improved, "Uncle Kook". And that it has been ever since. And she, being like one of my (only, it appears) 2 faux grandchildren, shall do absolutely nothing wrong and get everything she wants, always.....including.....calling me ANYTHING.....she wants. And that's the story about Uncle Kook.
