My love for electronic music started many years ago when I first listened to acid house music. Since then I have always been in love with electronic sounds. My roots are quite dark and trip hop and deep house were among my favourite music genres. Artist such as Massive Attack and Portishead were always in my walk-man me but what really was my door to proper electronic music was the Sonar festival and a radio program in Radio 3 conducted by Sonia Briz who introduced proper techno to the passionate minorities in Spain.
Thanks to her I discovered artists like Plastikman, Orbital, Aphex Twin or Jeff Mills and then it was when I really started being into electronic music.
Little by little, I turned myself into more melodic house sounds and got into artists like Kevin Yost, Peter Kruder and Steve Bug.
Nowadays there are so many artists that I respect and enjoy that it would be unfair to list just a few.As a DJ, my experience commenced years ago in an afterparty hold every Sunday morning in my hometown. During 7-8 hours I was in charge of delivering tracks to those who wanted to carry on with the party.
Once in England I started playing music in the Midlands and I got my first residency at The Full Moon in Stoke On Trent, playing basically lounge, chill and dub music.
My second residence came in Derby in one of the main lounge-bars in the town. Santanda. There I enjoyed every Thursday for about 4-5 hours playing deep house and minimal techno basically.
Those residencies were alterned with some odd gigs at different venues.
I decided to move to the South and get closer to London in 2006. I got my first residence straight away in a brand new venue called The Silk Road where I had to play up to 6 hours on my own. This gave me the chance to gain experience as I had to play the warm up set and carry on all the night long....Afterparties were not unusual in those times and I was able to play what I felt like without having a manager behind me and instructions to follow.
I then realised that to play what really filled me up, I had to quit from my residence and try in London.Up to now I have played in many venues such as Crash, Epicurean Lounge, Jamm, The Cross, Aquarium, 54, On The Rocks, Southside, The Loft, etc, and I have co-operated with different parties: Tribonega, Minimar, Forbidden Fruit, Gifted, The Nodding Dog, Dirty Angels, Cheeky Cheeky, and more recently, Insomnia afterpart which is actually rocking London !!I really love to see a crowd been tantalised and taken to a marvellous journey through some of the tracks that I love to share with the people.....Lots of love and keep dancing with those like you... selected minorities....Reactable Basic demo #1
