One Way Fare was formed in March of 2007 by vocalist Leila Mlitan, guitar players (and cousins) Ryan Orr and Peter McGuire in Southern California. Nick Griffith was brought in to fill the bass player position, and Gabe Martinez picked up the drum sticks. These five individuals all come from very different musical backgrounds, but are brought together by their insatiable love for music. Together, they play aggressive hard rock, influenced by bands like Thrice, Funeral For A Friend, The Deftones, and The Used. The Hard working One Way Fare has played many shows in Los Angeles County. They love playing live shows, and their electric and exciting performance always leaves the audience amazed. In early 2008, the band went into the studio to record their Alive EP. In the late summer and fall of 2008, One Way Fare, among a hundred other So-Cal bands, participated in the annual Battle of the Bands at Schooner's in Lancaster, CA. On October 4th, at the final round of the Battle of the Bands, OWF took first place. During the Summer of 2009, they began working on their first full-length album, titled To All The Ghosts.
