Mythril Forest

Greetings My Spacers! Welcome to my corner of outer & inner space! I hope you enjoy your visit, and all the sights and sounds?! Everyone is welcome here! If you don't fit in anywhere else, chances are good you will like it here?! It is normal to be strange here! Oddities are even celebrated in my enchanted woods! Me? I'm Forest Owen Robinson. I call my solo project, 'Mythril Forest' currently. Mainly 'cuz Mythril is a metal of fantasy, and my first choice was taken here on Myspace! Oh fuggen well?! I got over it! :'''-( How 'bout, 'Mourning Forest'? Anywayz I compiled a C.D. in 2005 of guitar instrumentals & improvs. that were recorded originally in 1992-3. I gathered my favorites, that all had a similar, ambient, melancholic, mystic feel & put them together on the CD. Most, are simple improvisations. It is no means a technical, or playing marvel to behold! However, devoid of technich precision, it has raw passion, & emotional feel in it that I can still hear in it today, even though now, I'm light-years ahead in skill. I titled this CD. Harmonic Arcane, then changed it to 'Graphic Harmonies'. In my blog, I'll tell more of these songs. Currently, I'm writing, jamming, composing, & recording. I jam with different musicians I find, {rock or Jazz} to conjure ideas, but I'm still solo. I hope to have a new solo C.D. done soon! The sound will be, Progressive & experimental, fused with Jazz & classical, & many other influences too! It will be also true to my 1st love... Metal! Preferably dark & ambient, with psychedelic trance moods! It will be an eclectic fusion of all that I love about music and the guitar! Listen to believe! I have no reservations against a band. When I meet the right people, I just may be in a band again?! I've been in quite a few bands in the past, mostly metal, and some blues & jazz, but for this project, I decided to focus on my solo work. Also, as a bonus on this page, are 2 Live recordings from a band I had in 1999! The band was called 'The Three Mechanix'. We were Psychedelic Metal/Acid blues. It was a 3 piece: Me-guitar, Don-bass, Jeremy-Drums. The 2 live tracks are: 'The 3 Mechanix' {cover of Megadeth's Mechanix} & 'Blue Again'- an acid blues jam that sems to go on forever, like Page & Hendrix got into a guitar fight on L.S.D.! Well, I'll give more info on my songs on my blog, if you're interested?!:-) A little about me, I've been playing over 20 years. I'm academically trained in classical, and jazz theory, as well as digital audio recording. I'm also a degreed professional graphic designer. I'm into everything from black metal to rockabilly to Brazillian jazz! I love it all! Xcept rap/crap whatever? Sorry, that's poetry maybe, but not music in my opinion! I grew up with a big interest in thrash metal & psychedelic trippin' music, & spread out my musical interests from there! 'Psychedelic Metalheads' were common where I grew up, in Milwaukee Wisconsin. I now reside in the Detroit area of Michigan, since 1991. I enjoy digital grapics, and art too, but more for the extra $$!;-) My passion is in music. Personal stuff? Well, I'm described as enigmatic and mysterious. I have a very warped sense of humor! I live in the subconscious mind, and love hidden beauties of life. I don't offend or piss off easy, but if I do? Oh Fuck!! Kidding!:-) I have no time for idiots, or closed minded fools! I just leave them be, in there void of stupidity! I have no kids, I'm not married, but haven't stopped looking yet! haha! By any means NOT the top priority in life! I like Coca~Cola, Movies, free thought, and other shit... Yes, I'm in my 30's! ...but I look 26 so ;-P ...Uh oh yeah, I'm also a Pisces!:-) Any questions? feel free to ask me! ANYTHING! I promise to tell you the truth!
