When it comes to spiritual gifts some people are blessed from birth. Kamilah Marie Allen Burrow, known as "Milah", is an artist who was born to sing, play the guitar, piano, and write great music. Milah was first introduced to the piano at the tender age of four which transpired in to years of lessons and dedicated practice. Her love for the guitar gave her the fortitude to master the acoustic and electric guitar.
Milah’s first song was a ballad she penned in 2003 “Peace Of Mind†which speaks of a righteous journey through which God kept His hands on her and brought her to the fullness of having a passion to lead others to a common meeting place with Him through her music. Her favorite scripture is Philippians 4:13, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
Milah is humbly blessed with such merits as having three of her songs featured on the Descending Dove Productions film "The Last Adam", being a finalist in the International Songwriting Competition, and receiving radio airplay for her song "Divine Destiny" in Georgetown, SC. She also had the awesome opportunity to receive vocal instruction from Jan Smith and Heidi Higgins of the renowned Jan Smith Studios (clients include multiplatinum talent – Usher, Rob Thomas, and India.Arie). Her finished recording of her current CD was produced by Grammy award winning producer Don McCollister (Third Day, Indigo Girls). She is ready to hit the road to reach her peers with inspirational messages through her positive and uplifting lyrics.
Milah has been playing throughout the Atlanta area for the past couple years in places such as the well known local cozy coffee shop The Daily Grind, Eddie’s Attic, Borders as well as many local music venues. She’s traveled as far as Nashville to play the famous Bluebird Café and plans to conquer many more areas within the US and abroad. Many of the people she’s played for on her journey would describe her music as wonderful rhythmic songs with the tranquil and loving spirit reminiscent of a peaceful sun kissed breezy springtime afternoon.
Milah’s Production Company, DoveLove, Inc., is dedicated to addressing the needs of the homeless, mentoring youth, and providing scholarships for college bound students. Some of the Organizations she’s contributed her generous nature to are Feed The Hungry Foundation, American Cancer Society and her music ministry work with the Shepherd Center. She is the co-founder for One Talent, Inc., a non-profit youth development and mentoring program designed to help develop the gifts and talents of young girls.
