Hi! I am a 34-year old jazz bassist now living in Charlotte, NC. I am originally from Hemet, CA and moved east in 1990 to attend the University of North Florida’s prestigious jazz program in Jacksonville, FL. Playing this amazing music has taken me throughout South America, Japan and Europe performing with such names as Terri Lyne Carrington, Wycliffe Gordon, Noel Friedline, Chad Lawson,The Christian Tamburr Quartet and most recently Kenny Barron. This past summer I had the amazing experience of performing at Fasching Jazz Club in Stockholm, Sweden and Street Life Jazz Club in St. Petersburg, Russia.
I don’t want to bore everyone with all the details of a bio…yet! I reserve the right to change this over time. Since I am so new to myspace, I wanted to get at least something out there. I look forward to meeting new people and hopefully reconnecting with others.I do want to make a small plug…I am so grateful to be a part of the Christian Tamburr Quartet so I want to tell you all about his (our) newest album called Arrivals. Thanks all!Ok, now I am using that right to bore everyone with more details.....On May 27th, 2007 the Elisa Pruett Trio had the most amazing honor of opening up for the great Herbie Hancock in Charlotte, NC at the Neighborhood Theater. This was the first incarnation of this particular trio which included Lovell Bradford on piano and Seth Carper on saxes.Thanks for everyone's support!
