Firstly I'd Like to introduce myself and let you all know what OddmanOut is all about. My name is Mario Avgoustis. I started my musical dream by playing drums and working sound for small bands in my home town Of Fort McMurray Alberta Canada. After a series of false starts, I left Canada to get away from it all. I came to Cyprus In hopes of finding my center. OddmanOut Started (As things do) as an idea in my head, bred from the frustration of never finding a group of musicians that just "worked" as a band. Soon after my arrival in Cyprus I started to build a little project recording studio which I affectionately call "Little Island Studio". Here I work on my biggest dream to date... a full length album that I wrote, produced, mixed and mastered by myself. And to that you have four more offerings of the album I call "Whipping boy". It has been a lot of fun for me to record the music that I can be proud of. I hope you enjoy the results.... I have had a lot of help along the way. Gabriel Kocher is a young guitar player with grit, style, ability and humility. Which In my experience is a pleasantly odd combination. His playing for me, was invaluable. "A Beautiful Mind" was his baby. We worked well together on that one. Gabe also contributed his creative styling on Follow the Leader (with some bone crushing riffs in the middle) the all Solo work and I am very happy with the end result. Also contributing to Follow the leader is my best friend and counselgeri Leo Karaguizan... he was over at the studio one day and came up with a wicked bass line that I fell in love with and used. Mike Agathocleos from the project Eulogy also contributed to that one with some lyric and melody ideas. TAnd speaking of Eulogy... We Also Colaberated on the cover of Kiss' "Deuce" Together with Lawrence Zourek and my self doin The vocals...Mike doin The Guitars...I love the final resault. The driving force for me comes not from the music realm of my life but from the personal. Zsuzsa Gerendi has been my muse, my love and my best friend since the begining of this journey. She has pushed me to finish what i have started and never allowed me to doubt myself. For that in my opinion she has contributed as much as anyone involved with this thing and I owe her a lot more than just thanks. Zsuzsa also sings the backing vocal in Find my way and helped me see what it needed to be finised....thanx so much to all who have helped! So There it is...the Oddmanout bio. Hope you enjoy the trax!
