The Allegiance

About Me

The three members of the southern Maine power trio The Allegiance have been making music with one another in various combinations for the better part of 15 years. The one consistent element to the music created by these various lineups has been the total disregard of music genre boundaries. The current self-titled offering by The Allegiance is no exception.
As The Allegiance, Jason Jared and Chris made a conscious decision to trim the fat and reduce their sound to the most essential visceral elements, creating music that challenges the listener's expectations while maintaining its undeniable catchiness. The result is a high energy, truly original rock act like none other.
Equal parts rock, punk, metal, indie, and anything else, the music of The Allegiance is an amalgam that must be heard to appreciate. They have comfortably shared the stage with acts as diverse as the jazz-prog ensemble Banyan (members of Jane's Addiction), art-core group The Baltic Sea, reggae-rock party band Sidecar Radio, indie stalwarts The Sterns (Boston), WCLZ favorites Dominic and the Lucid, and many others.
From the jazz swing outro of 'Midas Smile' to the screaching guitar bridge of 'Catch Fire' to the metal riffing of 'The Crane', the songwriters of The Allegiance never seem to be happy doing the same thing twice. But don't take our word for it. Take a listen and judge for yourself.
We're putting the finishing touches on the new recordings, and Midas Smile and Catch Fire are up on our Myspace music player now! New tracks to come are: The Crane - What the Boys Like to Hear - Ghost of Your Room... look for those to drop on you sometime soon...
The Allegiance is former members of Fiftyseven Foxtrot , Libertyville , and Autocrat.
