Breaking down the walls one day at a time

About Me

Riding the adventures in life full steam ahead. Complex as they come, yet oh so simple at the same time. Playing hide and seek with myself because every time I lose me, I find myself anew and figure out something I didn't know before. Leading, following, speaking, listening, learning, relearning, sometimes stopping to smell the roses, sometimes picking one up along the way 'cause there's no time to slow down. One thing that keeps me ahead of the crowd? I spent the time to know myself before truly trying to know anyone else. Now, if only I didn't have to keep learning it again since we're all in that constant transitional state of change. However, I prefer that to becoming stagnant. High energy, life lover, and living in an anti-drama bubble that is near impenetrable. Gotta get me one of those time stopping machines so I can find the time to do everything I'd like (like sleep, oh how I miss sleep). Is there such a thing as a responsible party person? I like to think so, but I could just be dillusional. ;) Feel more at home at Burning Man than I do back in "normal" society. There's a hint or two for you...for more...guess you gotta ask some questions. Oh, right...and I'm a Sagittarius...dang crazy December people. ;)

Blue Oyster Spiral Extended Remix

..
For Die Hard Fractal Zoom Fans. Caution: Flashing! No matter how deep you go, there's always more.By popular demand, I have revisited this fractal zoom but this time I've added some animation so maybe you can see the objects better. In 1993, when i first made a poster of the image i call "blue oyster spiral," which is a zoom at about the 100 Billion X magnification level inside the Mandelbrot Fractal, it took 34 computers 3 days to render it. today, the same poster can be rendered on one typical PC in just a few hours.Of course, since the Mandelbrot Fractal is infinite in nature, i can still easily find spots i want to explore that take a present day computer months to calculate.I'm ambivalent about the fact that no computer will ever be powerful enough to let me see the infinite detail to be seen in there. On the one hand, there will always be more to see, every time i have access to more computing power. on the other, it will never be enough. oh well :-)Music: "Crazy (Karl G. Remix)" by Gnarls Barkley.Fractal: animated in much higher resolution than this with fractal extreme.Fractal Posters available athttp://kliman.com/fractals/index.htm Usual Suspects, Event Horizon, Seven, Blazing Saddles, Spaceballs, Momento, Alice in Wonderland, Princess Bride, The Rock, Face Off, Shawshank Redemption, etc, etc.

Television:

T...V? That's one of those non-interactive computers right?

Books:

Drained and broken, the mental batteries are recharged

After a week of beating the crap out of myself both mentally and physically, I have returned from Burning Man.  It was quite an experience this year, and although there were a few minor annoyance...

The necessity of the positive progressive thought pattern

Warning:  Today's rant may come across as preachy.  My appologies...just remember it's nothing more than my opinion of how people should think. ;)   As I was drifting off to sleep last ...

Just FYI

The influx of blogs is a copy paste from another spot I've decided to stop posting on.  I'm not actually going through that many phases at once. ;)

Mind droppings!

So, I've been wondering lately why it's so damn hard to cope with change, even when it's necessary and a good thing. As an example, I've recently started trying to get back into shape. When your metab...
