About Me

man of leisure
I lead a fun life. I try to live a balanced life. I love my work. I travel. I watch a lot of movies. I enjoy get-togethers and parties. I like seeing live music. I like to listen to people tell stories. I like to people-watch but I'm not an introvert. When I get really wasted in bars I rock out to what's on the jukebox (Bon Jovi, Refused, Outkast, etc). I love technology and the sciences. I strive to embody the Epicurean-Hedonist philosophies of pleasure, leisure and simplicity.
I'm highly opinionated but willing to listen to most people. Ever notice how people who "don't care what others think" have a lot to think about other people?
I play bass, drums and program electronic music when I find the free time.
my site/journal: www.reject.org
aim/yahoo: flatspunk
I like to use myspace to keep in touch with people.
My DJ'ing skills and equipment are for hire for parties, weddings, etc. I'll play 80s, 90s, Jazz/Cocktail, HipHop, Pop, whatever.
I advocate Nuclear Power to help curb carbon and NOx emissions and provide safe, emission-free and recyclable base-load electricity.

My Interests

movies, drums, talking about music and gear, turntables, cooking and the culinary arts, crown royal, heineken, dancing, karaoke, standup comedy, alamo drafthouse, traveling, snowboarding, playing basketball, bowling, philosophy

other things i like:
avocados, board games, crosswords, tetris, port wine cheese and club crackers, the smell of new cars and shoes, kerbey lane (south lamar) at 3 am, oatmeal raisin cookies, freshly squeezed orange juice, comic book and pop art, tattoos, palm and magnolia trees, short hair on girls, throwing the best parties you've ever been to, cheeseburgers at casino el camino, galaxy cafe, coffee, small dogs, fountains, sleep

I'd like to meet:

good conversationalists. friendly, nice people. optimism is nice but not necessary. sarcasm and wit are a plus.

people who laugh at "inappropriate" things.

people who aren't afraid of going to questionable bars.

people who aren't freaked out when my friends and i have entire conversations in movie quotes.

people who subscribe to the maxim that "sacred cows" make the best burgers. (for the clueless that means making fun of people who take things too seriously)

if you don't return the shopping cart to the shopping cart receptacle and instead leave them between cars or against a curb, you're probably a fucking asshole and shouldn't bother talking to me.
