About Me

Nice n' Up Studio is a full recording and production facility in San Francisco. We feature a 20' x 25' live room with a 13' ceiling. The air-conditioned control room, with hardwood floors, comfortably fits up to 6 people. The centerpiece is a Sony DMX 1000 mix console. We have ProTools and Paris recording systems.

Band Members: Chris Cortez is a very skilled recording / mix engineer and producer. With over 15 years of recording experience, he can make your sessions flow comfortably and efficiently. He is also the drummer for the popular SF reggae band Native Elements and host of “Mid-Day Jazz” on KCSM 91.1 FM.

Ben Thompson is a native SF producer and recording engineer. Credits include names such as Lenny Kravitz, En Vogue, Spice 1, Pink, Bray , and Dogman Joe , as well as several European artists. Also a member of Native Elements, he can help bring your musical vision to reality in the studio.
