My name is Mark, but if you are my close friends you may know me as Cannon, Melach, or PrinceMarky too.
One thing i learned very early on in my life is that you gotta do a little bit of everything, cause life is too damn short to not try things ...
I'm a big goof who likes to have fun, gets very silly around 1am, loves pop culture and meeting people, even though i'm usually pretty outgoing and flirty, i can be quite shy around people i really care for.
I'm loyal almost to a fault at times and if i consider you a friend, you are like family to me. I'm kinda like Chewbacca with less hair in that regard..I'm brutally honest, not afraid to stand up for what i think is right and will call "bullshit" when i think someone is trying to put something by me.
I've lost over 160 lbs in the last year after weight loss surgery and have turned into a bit of a gym rat It was really the best decision i have made in my life.
I'm a complete Macintosh Geek, and have been lucky enough to make a living at it.
I work for THE most famous financial newspaper in the country. I even share a Pulitzer Prize with my co-workers there for our efforts in getting a paper out on 9/11 ( our offices were destroyed in the attacks),
I've set up computers for Vice Presidents of the U.S. (both past and present), I've met Governors and Senators and even the head of the greatest computer company in the world. I now spend my days working for a world famous Billionaire Tyrant that recently bought our company (who is actually a pretty straightforward guy).
I grew up in Jackson, Nj and used to have a place on the beach in Seaside Park, but my heart has always been in New York City and i moved to Staten Island in '99 and never, ever want to leave.
I ride a big orange Boat to and from work, and you'll probably find me riding outside no matter the weather or season. It's the only free ride you can get these days...
I've been a Bouncer at the Jersey Shore at clubs like the Osprey and Bamboo, I've Played Keyboards as a member of the rock bands Distant Thunder and Mischief. My Mutant Power is that I can learn a song and be able to play it on the keyboard just by hearing it once...
I'm a Proud Papa to the coolest 6 year old you will ever meet, who is into rock music, Japanese Monster movies and Super Heroes ( can can understand more Japanese than I can), and can wrap 20 something year old hotties around his finger at will. He has his mama's blue eyes and dimples, but he gets his size and strength, as well as his easy going ways from his old man (thank god)
I Was a Pro Wrestler from 1993 to 2001 ( even got my fat ass on WWF TV a bunch of times between '94 and '96). I got to travel the northeast, meet new and interesting people and roll around a ring in my underwear with another grown man (also in his underwear) while people paid to watch us roll around in our underwear...
Ok Maybe that last part doesn't sound all that cool when it's put that way...
But anyways... I took my father's nickname, Cannon, as my ring name...I got to meet, and in some cases, get kicked in the head by some of the biggest names in the wrestling business. Those were good times.
I Retired from the ring after some nagging injuries and got involved in the "behind the scenes" aspect of putting on what I hope are some of the most Kick-ass Independent Wrestling shows people have ever seen. After accomplishing as much as i could doing this, I decided this summer that this year would be my last one in the wrestling business, and i "retired" ( as much as a wrestler can be at least) in December 2008
I collect Comic books and just about anything Star Wars related ( and I can kick your ass if you laugh at me for it :P)
I became fairly well known on the 'net for co-writing a plug-in for the old Mac game "Escape Velocity" that turned the game into the Star Wars universe, and to this day i thank George Lucas for not suing me :)
I Love Hockey ( Go Devils!) Baseball (Go Mets!), and competitive Dwarf Tossing ( is there any other kind?).
I have a black belt in sarcasm... I can "macguyver" things at will. I played Audrey II in a high school production of "Little Shop Of Horrors" and I make a mean Dirty Martini...In the summertime, I cook up a mighty fine helping of baby-back-ribs for the people in my apartment building...I'm a good guy to have your back in a Bar fight...I believe in Chivalry and treating a lady right...
If you remember my old ass, drop me a line.
Live with the knowledge that no matter what you do, it will never be as cool as the above picture...
