About our Artistic Director.........Jamie Azpeitia-Sachs has been dancing for 26 years. She began her career in Diamond Bar California at the age of 3.Ballet, Ballroom, Jazz, and Musical theater. At the age of 6, she co-starred in Annie, Mary Poppins, and even became one of Claremont Theaters youngest recipients of a performance scholarship to attend their Musical Theater workshop.Ms. Azpeitia-Sachs immediately fell in love with the stage! By age 12, she had already danced in Guys & Dolls, The Nutcracker and The Secret Garden. At the age of 16, she was hired by Starzz Inc. To Choreograph for new artist! She had the honor to work with award winning artists' on 3 world tours!By the time Ms. Azpeitia-Sachs was ready for College, she had already earned an impressive resume, and a full scholarship to dance at Cal State Long Beach,a full academic scholarship to UCLA, University of The Virgin Islands, Howard, and Stanford. She decided to attend Chaminade University in Honolulu and double majored in Kinesiology & Forensic Science. While there, she performed in several theatrical productions of:Miss Saigon, Flowers for Algernon, Beauty & the Beast, and 2 showcases for Hawaii Pacific University. After returning to California in 2003, she began dancing at Inland Dance Academy in Highland. While there, she has performed in 4 of their showcases, and still attends their performances!Today Ms. Azpeitia-Sachs, is an accomplished dancer & choreographer having studied under Charles Pratt, Tim Harrison, Rosalie Woodson, Gina Marume, Julio Padilla, Sheila Harris of Arthur Murray, Gavin Navarro, Evette Demarco Swinson, Rachel Swinson, Diane Amendt, and the list goes on, and on. Ms. Azpeitia-Sachs is now the proud owner of Bowen-Hayes School of The Arts in Grand Terrace, California. This is truly a dream come true!
