A.D.

A.D. was born Adam Rivera on April 3, 1987 in New York City. His father, Frankie Rivera(KewlJazz) bestowed upon him the gift of music, which goes back GENERATIONS in the Rivera family. A.D.'s dream is to one day make MUSIC HISTORY as THE GREATEST SELF-PRODUCED RECORDING ARTIST OF ALL TIME. This may sound FAR-FETCHED, or even downright near IMPOSSIBLE to achieve, especially when referring to a LOCAL ARTIST who's name is virtually UNKNOWN. However, A.D.'s talent exceeds the expectations of most. Check THIS out; A.D. IS A SINGER, A SONGWRITER, A DIGITAL MUSIC COMPOSER, AN ENGINEER, AN INSTRUMENTAL MUSICIAN, A VIDEO EDITOR, AND A CERTIFIED PHOTOGRAPHER & GRAPHIC DESIGNER(THIS MEANS ALL MUSIC, ALL ADS, PHOTOS, CD COVERS AND ALBUM ARTWORK, POSTERS, EVEN MYSPACE LAYOUTS ARE ALL PRODUCED AND DESIGNED BY A.D. HIMSELF). Still sound impossible? A.D.'s journey began when he became the lead tenor of the DeWitt Clinton Highschool Choir in the Bronx. It was at this time when Assistant Principle Maryanne Mola invited him to sing the National Anthem at the Spring Graduation Ceremony in 2005. He was then invited to perform again at a local baseball game, and yet again at the Senior Assembly, and finally, at his own graduation that same year performing two selections with his good friend Crystal Forest. He's had the pleasure of performing around the state at events such as The CUNY Month Assembly at CUNY Bronx Community College, The Children's Summer Camp at The Salvation Army, and the advanced screening of the HBO Original Documentary, The Half Project in Manhattan. In September of 2005, A.D. wrote and recorded his first full length song, titled "You got Me". Next, after learning the basics of digital music, he self-produced "Rain" which was favored among friends and family, and eventually a smash among the myspace community. He then met Lu Evanson(Mr. Lookout). The two young artists collaborated in "Get You Out", a remix to the original hit single "Satisfy You" by Sean Combs and R. Kelly. The song reached number one in a competition on a radio show in Wadadli, Lu's hometown in Antigua. In 2007, AProduce became A.D.'s OFFICIAL ARTS & MUSIC LABEL. In 2008, AProduce was reanimated. It is NOW APro2, pronounced APro-DUCE. A.D. continues to produce his own music as well as music by HIS OWN ORIGINAL ARTISTS.
