Although I am now a successful artist,I have had multiple careers and jobs after graduating from The university of Iowa. My degree in psychology was never practiced, but my work ethic and quick mind kept me employed as everything from welding to auditor. In my thirties,I came to the realization that i have never really found my passion, but merely trudged the road to mediocrity.I started drawing, then painting, and finally found something I was truly passionate about. I was naturally talented but also determined. What I didn't know about color theory and perspective I studied on my own and mastered. But, like most, I was doubtful about making the leap from part-time to full-time artist.After encouragement from friends and testing the waters by taking portrait commissions,I took the leap in 1995.A few months later, two other artists and myself started A.T. Hun Art Gallery. Artist and partners have come and gone, but since the beginning, one constant has been my vibrant, sensual paintings on the wall here at my gallery.
