Travel Break!

I am impressionable, gullible and quixotic. I dream too much and analyze every situation. I'm adaptive and insightful, easily amused and intrigued. I’m somewhat indifferent and perhaps a little jaded. I care too much about people; I used to assume that people, left to their own vices, are actually kind-hearted--I've learned that isn't always the case. I've been the pushover my whole life, I'm growing out of that now. I seem aloof and standoffish at times, but I'm usually just daydreaming or absorbing the atmosphere. My father never smoked a day in his life and died of cancer, yet I'm a "social smoker". I can be painfully shy at times; it takes the right type of person to bring out my extroverted side. I do not support Bush. I’m very detail oriented but I can also be extremely messy and disorganized, if I don’t stay on top of things. I'm pretty funny. I'm definitely a scatterbrain. My mind is always racing. It's probably safe to say I drink a little too much. I'm loyal and look for the same in others. I HATE drama. I’m a “gym-aholic”. I'm very determined and hate not having my way. I’m a people watcher--I love to observe, and the things I'll probably love about you are your idiosyncrasies, the tiny elements that make you unique. I don't care how successful you are or how much you have. As far as I see it, people are always on a journey. I'm intrigued by "hippies”. I admire passion and wit. I love to be respected; I hate to be copied. I'm a liberal. I'm a sucker for a good sense of humor. I like when people can handle my sarcasm, I like it even more when they give it back. I'm stubborn. I love adventure and hate feeling trapped. I keep an open mind and an open heart--I love to debate, but I will always consider an opposing view, I'm not set in my ways. I wish I could fix the world. I love to listen, however, I hate to feel vulnerable or show that sometimes I'm the one who needs a shoulder to cry on (but secretly, if you pay attention and look close enough, you'll find that I really love to be cared for). Sometimes I contradict myself, because like anyone else, I'm still searching--Nothing is ever black and white with me, I reside in the gray area. I miss my father dearly. I'm nurturing at heart and I love when people appreciate that. I'm sensitive but I forgive easily and never hold grudges. I love to be the person people feel they can confide in and I hate when people push me away (although I do the very same). I hate when people give up on me. I’m a people pleaser and that will never change; I'm my own biggest critic. It seems my best qualities double as my greatest weaknesses. I fear rejection and tend to distance myself if I see that being a possibility--I've learned that I miss out on potentially good people and situations because of my fear, it's a part of me that needs significant work. I am convinced that I am never in the right place at the right time--I am the perpetual victim of circumstance, whether it comes to relationships or just life in general. I hate confrontation, and though some think I'm naive and meek, make no mistake, I am not fragile--I have overcome shitty situations in life better than most people I know. I miss a lot of my friends and my dad (I know, I already mentioned him). My heart often gets broken; although I complain when it happens, I can't imagine life without the disappointing moments that define us, humble us, and remind us that we're human. I adore traveling and seeing new things, shopping, shoes and hole-in-the wall restaurants/diners and bars. My best friends are my mother and my sister they are my world-- because at the end of the day, they are the familiar faces I always cherish!
