The band formed back in 2002. out of pure idleness that lasted for few years on. Maybe it's the stupid environment which provoked us to go out and start a band without a single goal, sense or whatever. During the February 2005. we entered studio thanks to the Radio Novi Sad crew, which resulted with our newest album "Violet Olympics".
Ever since 2002. we just wanted to make some music. And so we did. No, we don't play metal, punk, rock, or even punk-rock, because everybody else does. No, we don't sing about poverty, hunger, girls, boys, fascism, antifascism, Serbian national-patriotism, raping, seducing, blood, darkness or even vampires.....why ? Because everybody else does. We just do what we want to do and that is the principle by which Doy Mekokosh exists. Pure will and dirty ideas :)
Everything is about Doy MeKokosh, the way you get up in the morning knowing that you will soon get out and feel -18°C all over your sleepy face. Rubbing your heart with tissue saturated in schnapps in order to prevent heart-attack. Sitting home and manufacturing oversized silver whips etc. If somebody could ever summarize our total efforts, it could be something like : finding a deeper sense or even glints of humor in meaningless daily situations.
