About Me
CLICK THE LINK BELOW TO VOTE FOR MY WEBSITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Ever since i can remember i have always been fascinated with music, my parents brought me a Yamaha keyboard for Christmas when i was about 8 i used to sit there for hours playing with the different sounds it used to make. I got the chance to take music lessons when i was at primary school playing the violin i was only 9.After playing the violin for 3 years i decided to make a change and moved on to the trombone, laugh if you want but this got me out of a lot of boring lessons during secondary school, after playing for 3 years and playing at various concerts including The Royal Albert Hall, I wanted to play something more glamorous, my friends at the time were talking about playing the electric guitar, so we all started lesson (during school hours obviously)whilst forming a band at school, i soon realised that music really wasn't for me.My friend at the time was listening to a different type of music, one that was fast, energetic and got your blood pumping.
Carried on playing in the band but it wasn't long before jungle came out and this took me by storm i loved the amen breaks and the deep thumping sub basslines, i was hooked.I would sit in my room listening to Grooverider, Mickey Finn and Randall wishing i could go and hear this live in a rave. I had just turned 16 when 3 of my friends were going to a World Dance at Lydd Airport, This night was one of the best nights of my life and from that moment on on i would be going out raving every weekend to Bagley's, Club UN' Labyrinth (Dalston lane) and many more.In 1998 i brought my first set of decks they were techinics and belt driven at that but hey everyone has to start somewhere, I wanted to recreate the kind of sets that i would hear out in raves. In the summer of 1999 i got a phone call from the promotor of Garage Fever asking me if i was interested in promoting his drum and bass raves, i jumped at the chance.I organised our first night at the legendary Atomics night club in Maidstone which was my second home with artists such as Profile, Footloose, Shabba and IC3 to name a few, it was a hit and after the success of Atomics we decided to move our event to London and a bigger venue so we chose The Scala in Kings Cross. In our second room we had my friend Shylo and his Future Thinkin crew, with the second room covered it left us with organising the main room with a heavy line up which included, Grooverider, Andy C, Bryan G, Ed Rush, GQ, Flux, Det, Eksman and many more, the night was a sell out but sadly after this event we went our separate ways i moved into computer networks and worked away a lot whilst they carried on with Garage Fever which is still going to this day.6 years later i'm still djing but have now started producing the music i have loved for so long, I am currently resident dj on Maidstone's Reason FM every Saturday night between 6 and 8 so if you get a chance check it out.
