Updated: Actually, we aren't even a band anymore. I have been using The Soft moniker and domain name in order to keep some sort of a presence on the web for years now. I just think a band seems so much cooler than some well-hidden, unknown songwriter. Especially now as my industry connections are now as tenuous as they ever have been.
