My Old Earth is 1/9th of the salipande clan & in Philippine tradition, the oldest is the 3rd parent. her kuya moy, my uncle & godfather worked 12-16 hours per day for 30+ years, fought in the war, never got married or had a family, sacrificed all of his earthly pleasures just to take care of his brothers & sisters- one being my mom, who moved to the US because of the opportunity her kuya gave her- I owe so much to him as he lays on his bed unable to walk & delirious with old age. maraming salamat ninong...
