"TAKING FROM THE GREEDY, GIVING TO THE NEEDY"A fan site made for Construction Time Again Depeche Mode fans. Released in 1983, this album was a giant leap forward for Depeche Mode. Everything Counts was the first single to break the top 10 in the UK charts, it topped out at number 6, and falling 11 spots back to 17 the week after. This album was also the first to feature some of Alan Wilder's work, he wrote two B-sides, "Work Hard" which is the B-side of Everything Counts, a very industrial sounding song, and "Fools" which is the B-side of Love In Itself, a relationship type song. Alan also wrote a couple songs on the album, "Two Minute Warning", and "The Landscape Is Changing". This was the beggining of there so-called "Metal Bashing Era", but sound for sound, it's a great Depeche Mode album.
