The Galt Line Studios is a premier overdub and mixing facility with two rooms located in Burbank, CA. Owners Marshall Altman and Eric Robinson built the facility in late 2006 to fulfill the need for fully-equipped studios where you could finish a record after tracking. The Galt Line Studios is located in the same building as Eddy Schreyer's Oasis Mastering for unprecedented access to some of the finest equipment and ears in the business.
Studio A is a large suite with a 30 x 17 control room and a 16 x 14 isolation booth. The studio is centered around a Pro Tools HD Accel rig running on a Mac Pro with Apogee converters. Monitoring is world-class with Tannoy Dual 15's, ADAM S3a's and Yamaha NS-10's. There is large selection of outboard gear and microphones including API, Focusrite, SSL, Daking, Manley, Neumann, AKG, JFL Audio and much more. Also included with the room are two pianos, Hammond C2 with Leslie 122, Wurlitzer 200A, Ampeg SVT reissue, vintage amps by Vox and Fender, and over 20 guitars, basses, banjos, mandolins, lap steels and other stringed instruments. Studio A is the only place we know of that includes such a comprehensive selection of equipment at a competitve price.
Studio B is a medium-sized overdub room with a 15 x 15 control room and a 4 x 6 isolation booth. The studio has a Pro Tools HD rig and monitoring on Yamaha NS-10's. Any piece of outboard gear or microphone from Studio A can float up to this room to accomodate overdubs. This is a great room for doing vocals, acoustic guitars, editing, or anything where privacy, comfort and qualtiy are important.
Please contact us if you are interested in booking either of our rooms. Both of the studios have been designed to with specific needs and budgets in mind. We are convinced this is the best place in LA to finish your record.
