Chaos Panic & Disorder (CP&D)

Anarchy, Peace & Equality (looking for a drummer!)

About Me

The genesis of Chaos Panic & Disorder began in the fall of 2003 when Luke Pombiere and Mike Stackhouse began jamming and soon started writing original material. They soon started looking for others to round out the then unnamed project, finding Andy Crosby who responded to their 'looking for a bass player' ad. Mike stumbled upon an old friend Kirk Martin, who had played drums in other bands a few years back. Thus begun the insanity. We named ourselves Chaos Panic & Disorder as a self-deprecating shot at our initial jam scheduling situation - and it stuck. We spent 2004 writing and rehearsing our material preparing to unload it upon the unsuspecting masses. We played our first show in February of 2005 at The Seahorse Tavern with Halifax heros Mantra and another new band Janus. The response was overwhelming. We recorded and released our initial self titled EP by April, then played as many shows as possible, including appearances at the 2005 Metalfest held at Stage Nine in Halifax, Chupafest in Shubenacadie and shows in Sydney and Riverview New Brunswick. By the end of September the scholastic demands of Andy's time was making it impossible for him to continue. So we played our last show with him on September 29th and before the night was through we had found his replacement. Mike Fedora of Terratomb decided he wanted in. We spent the rest of the year getting him up to speed. 2006 was looking like it was going to be a banner year for us, until a few days before Fedora's debut Luke was attacked outside a local bar and had his jaw broken. He healed quickly and we resumed playing, but the incident had soured Luke on Halifax and he expressed his desire to return home to Ontario. We instantly begun the search for his replacement and soon decided upon one Shawn Peck (aka The Wizard) of The Facelift Dirtboys. We played our last show with Luke on May 3rd. We got Shawn up to speed and he made his debut at the Undergrowth Metalfest. We continued from there, until Kirk notified us earlier this November that he was departing for Korea to be with his girlfriend and take a job offer he couldn't refuse. This was a bit out of nowhere for all of us (Kirk included), but he had to go. We recruited Colleen Britton To take his place and things were going well (as evidenced by her performance in the video on this page). Then life threw us a few curveballs. Mike Fedora lost everything but his bass in the fire that consumed The North End Pub & Diner and on that same night Shawn Peck was handed the job as head chef at The Stonehaven restaurant. Which was only days away from opening. Colleen started a new job and in the midst of all this chaos we sort of ground to a halt. So we are currently in the process of writing new material and getting our shit together. We are again on the hunt for a drummer, as Kirk has hinted that he may stay a little longer in Korea. Hey, it's more money for him and more time for him and his girlfriend to be together, but the rest of us have gotten restless and are looking to playing again soon.
