Since the age of 16 it has always been a dream to have some involvement in the music industry. Picking up that rather "rustic" acoustic and convincing Leon Camfield to show me the way only seems like yesterday, and the thought of putting together an album was a mere dream.Years pass, rock bands fade, guitar still going strong, and then suddening the idea of a solo album sinks into reality."twenty-three" the debut album from Michael King is currently being recorded at various locations through-out hertfordshire with plans to be ready September 2009. With current listens to Tommy Emmanuel, Damien Rice, Radiohead, Emerson Lake and Palmer, Foo Fighters, Dashboard Confessional, Pink Floyd, Newton Faulkner, Sting and The Police, Biffy Clyro, add that to the list of local heroes as long as a long list (lol) you can imagine the diversity of musicical influences.It is heavily understood that in this very early stage it sounds rough and the vocals are weak however, like everything, it takes time and like everything, if you want to accomplish something then, it's not always going to be a walk in the park, but if your determind then, maybe, just maybe, it will all be worth it (even for that one person who can really relate to songs built around personal life experiences, troubles, loves, theories and dreams.If you do like what you here, or just want to meet a new friend then do add, but do pop by and say hi when you do.
