Movies:

Comedies don't get enough respect. I've been thinking about how truly great Groundhog's Day was as a film. The journey that Bill Murray's character goes through has him examining the meaning of death, dispair, his own lack of depth of character, the importance of music, the value of life itself, and the fragile nature of it. These are all pretty heady topics for a film, let alone a comedy, and that film pulls it off with depth and a light touch. Really a great flick. Shawshank was a great movie. Unforgiven, Usual Suspects, Raiders Of the Lost Ark, all great. Favorite Actors: Gene Hackman, Morgan Freeman, Kevin Spacy...

Books:

I read mostly non-fiction, but I know I need to read more fiction. I read entertainment industry stuff, Buddhist stuff, eastern philosophy, humor.

Heroes:

There are people that I know that have survived cancer, the bravery they showed me and how they taught me what's important and what isn't, they are my heroes.
