Pirates Of Acheron is a Thrash Metal combo from Dessau (eastern Germany), founded by Pirat666, Dr. Holocaust and Pulverizator in Oktober 2004.
In the early days they started playing some punk rock stuff (the name was Kleinstadtpiraten those days) but soon they recognized that this couldn't be the right thing...
The beginning of 2005 brought the dirty Rectum Rummager, the new bass guitar player and later that year Slick got into it as new singer. From that day on the band changed their style more and more into metal and hardcore. But Slick left the band after a few weeks.
The next singer in the row was Big A. He brought more growls to the songs and the Pirates got deeper into the metalcore subgenre. Thank Satan, the band recognized soon that Metal Core is faggot stuff. So it took a long way to bring the band where it is now. December 2006 Big A's voice didn't really match with the new stuff anymore. He got kicked out.
A new singer was needed. Quite accidental Alastor's dark Black Metal soul was forced to give his voice to the Pirates. In the early 2007 they self-recorded their first songs with him, the Chaos Flood Demo was done.
After several gigs, the Pirates started to record their debut album Soul Stealer and while this the band decided to go on without Dr. Holocaust. Right now the Pirates are searching for a record label to release Soul Stealer.
