Started back in 95' with members of T.S.F.(The Skull Fucks),S.N.F.(Satanic Nazi Fury) and Crutch.All local Exeter, Portsmouth N.H. area troublemakers.We use to practice on Sunday's in the attic of a Newmarket hippie house that Andy lived in at the time.God the other roommates there must have dreaded the weekend. Anyway we practiced religously,sometimes 8 to 10hrs.at a time.Yet from the first show you would swear the band members didn't even know eachother.Trust me I knew what I was doing. They fucked up 8 out of 9 songs.They would just stop all together and all I could do was turn around and mouth the words,"What The Fuck?" Take it from me,we were fucking awful.For some strange reason though people liked what they heard.I think in part because we played 2nd to a sold out crowd of home town heroes,The Bruisers.Not only did we get to play second bumping some already gigging band to openers But Al Barr got up and announced us as his personal friends.Giving us instant street cred. among die hard Bruisers fans. By the way,Thanx again Al.After that we were off to teenage rec. centers and K.of C.Halls across a possible 20 mile area.The sky's the limit.Before I knew it we aquired a our own following.Mainly consisting of a group of "friends" of ours known as the Exeter Drunk Punks.You know who you are and you're still not worth the time nor energy of writing your names in print.These kids were always an amusing attraction besides the band.I recall them getting us banned from a club in Manchester N.H. Apparently they broke the sink off the wall in the mens room and decided the ladies room needed a new paint job.Doing so by throwing a few gallons of spare paint against the wall.Those crazy kids.With no help givin to ourselves.It was New Year's Eve and we were slotted to play 4th in a 14 band set.Anyway we kept getting bumped until we had to pay 11th or 12th.After 3 songs into our set I threw the mic down and refused to play any more.We were quickly loaded up and nearly chased to the exit by angry club owners and some pussy promoter Baby crying we had ruined everything and were never welcome to play there again.We gladly accepted his kind offer politely said what a cunt he was and left.I personally have not set foot in Manch Vegas since.
Between the crowd's we generated in N.H. and the drugs and alcohol that fueled the the fire,so to speak,we were doomed from day fuckin one.We made an effort to try and hold it together by recording that following December at Bobcat studios in lovely Seabrook N.H. Recording 11 songs 4 of which were released on a split 7 in. w/Boston's August Spy's on Rodent Popsicle Records. Yet with nowhere to practice without the police being invited and drummer Troy taste for Cocaine and my ever growing need for Heroin. We didn't have crack rocks chance in Harlem.After the Manchester gig Andy decided to call it quits.I don't blame him.We quickly filled the slot with Dennis"Louie"Dumont our friend and bass player for Hampton Beaches own The Chokers.Thing's just did'nt seem the same.I don't know shit about music or playing an instrument but I believed Dennis lacked Andy's sheer simplicity.By then I was a pissy self righteous junky anyway.
Soon after Dennis joining original drummer Troy, A.K.A. Burner,was sent to jail and I left to follow my slow path to absolutely NOWHERE.Quickly after I quit the band recruited Jay f. as new lead singer.After playing a fistfull of shows at small clubs and rented halls 13 T.O.N.s popularity desolved just as quickly as it started.After playing a show w/Converge,at the World Famous Elvis Room,to a whopping 11 people.This was including the band themselves.True story I counted the crowd and band members myself.Even counting myself too to give them the added 12th crowd member.They asked me to come back.
I agreed with a some what new view of I was what made that band what the fuck it was and those fuckers knew it.On my return I was able to recruit 13 T.O.N.'s original bass player Andy back to play a few shows.Two shows were booked.One with Boston punk legends Gang Green and Englands The Vibrators.The other w/ Poison Idea.
At showtime Mr.Burner, A.K.A. Troy,managed to do an enormous amount of cocaine throughout the day.Refusing to play and fearing a "heart attack" Mr.Burner quickly left the show.With no drummer and Farmer Don's being fed up w/ mine and Troys drug dependancy on hard narcotics he also left the show,not to mention the entire state of N.H.Breaking up at your own reunion show how punk is that I ask you?
What happened to us you ask....Well I'll tell what I know....Farmer Don is M.I.A.It's been 5 yrs. since your's truely has spoken to him.As for Andy,he moved on to bigger and better things.He's one of the founding members of the well liked rockabilly band "Satans Teardrops."Troy A.K.A. Burner I here through the grapevine is back behind bars.We Wish him a quick release.As for me,well I guess you could say I'm alive.That's about it.pretty good little bedtime story a kiddies??? -----VIVA LA -N.H.
