In spite of the appealing name, Philadelphia is not a pleasant place to grow up. It's a dangerous city full of drugs, gangs and poverty that drains the spirit out of nearly everyone who lives there. Which makes the story behind (DIME's) moniker all the more astonishing. Despite the obvious violent allusions, according to him "it was hard growing up here" as a 17. yr old youngster.
