ABOUT THE RELATIVE
The Relative is an unsigned hip hop/rap artist from Minneapolis, Minnesota. The Relative created his own record label "Cut Throat Entertainment" and has released two mixtapes. The first project he released "Dead Bodies Volume 1" was in early 2008. The second project he released "Straight Swag Volume 1" was in late 2008. The Relative performed at a few venues such as local parties, Dinkytowner bar, and Hot Import Nights in 2008.
Early LifeAnthony Daoheuang was born October 22nd, 1991 in Minneapolis Minnesota. Anthony almost didn't make it because the umbilical cord was wrapped around his neck which caused him to suffocate. Anthony then moved to California with his Mother for a year or two then moved back to Minnesota. Anthony's dad left him when he was still a infant and he never knew who his dad was until this day. His mother left him at the age of 6 and moved to California for 6 years. Anthony was raised by his grandparents on the streets of West Broadway. Anthony experienced a lot in this neighborhood. From fist fights to gun play, dead bodies, people getting shot, police chase and many crime scences. While Anthony was a kid, he was at his aunts house for a party while a drive by shooting occured by rival gang members, glass shattered everywhere while Anthony's older cousin protected him and his younger cousin but noone was hurt. While Anthony was on a summer vacation to visit his mom in Sacromento, California, a drive by shooting occured in Anthony's neighborhood and two stray bullets hit Anthony's home but nobody was hurt. His mom moved back by the time Anthony was 12 years old. When his mom came back, Anthony was a problem child. He got into plenty fights, selling drugs in school, carrying weapons in school, getting suspended at least twice a month, always talked back to his mom and was out of control. Anthony got caught selling drugs in school due to a snitch, which was his close friend because he got caught up too. Anthony then had to serve community service and was on probation for a year and also got kicked out of the school he attended "Webster". Him and his family almost got evicted out of their home because they lived in public housing and Anthony had drugs on those premises. The Minneapolis Police Department then had a search warrant to search Anthony's home for any illegal objects but they couldn't find anything. Anthony was ordered to arrive in juvinile court by Hennipen County for carrying a weapon in school. The judge dropped the case and charged him with another case which was fighting and another 48 hours of community service and another year of probation and he also had to meet with a probation officer. Anthony was involved in a confrontation with a enemy during school and was pulled out of class by staff members and was told to not wear red anymore. Anthony's mom then filed a complaint to the staff member. He then moved out of a better city in Minnesota with his mother and aunt. Anthony attended Cooper Highschool and got kicked out for a month or two due to gang related fighting in the bathroom. Anthony then transfered to Osseo Senior High just so he can be in a better school and stay out of trouble. Then he transfered back to Cooper High and skipped school most of the time then eventually dropped out.
CareerThe Relative started rapping at a young age. His cousin Teso got him into doing music and they started up a label together called "Block Star Productionz. The Relative began writing to instrumentals and doing home recording. He didn't know how to count bars, all he knew was to just rhyme. He went into recording studios and didn't sound too good. He couldn't stay on beat and he didn't know how to deliver his vocals. Over the time he practiced day by day and eventually got on beat. His family and others discovered his talent and motivated him and also supported him through it all. He then released a mixtape "Dead Bodies Volume 1" then he released another mixtape "Straight Swag Volume 1". He began passing out his CD's for free to random people and advertised himself all over the net. As times passed, he realized that people are actually listening to him and feeling him so that also motivated him to work even harder. His biggest performance was at a car show "Hot Import Nights" which he performed the same stage as "Asher Roth" on the same night and the show was succesful. He recently released a music video "On Top Of The World" that was shot in California. The Relative and Teso created a new record label in 2009 "Cut Throat Entertainment". The Relative created his own channel on youtube "Cut Throat TV" which keeps the fans updated on new media. He is releasing a mixtape "Street Dreamz 2009" in 2009. The artists that motivated him the most was The Game, Young Jeezy, Eminem & Ya Boy. He grew up listening to Snoop Dogg, Kurupt, Daz, Tupac, Dr.Dre, The Game, Bone Thugs N Harmony, Bloods and Crips & Young Jeezy. The Relative was pretty good at writing lyrics but the words didn't mean anything so he decided to speak the truth as he got older. The Relative's main goal is to succeed in the music business, let the world know who he is, put a name on for his hometown, and give the fans what they want. He works hard in his music career and wont let anyone stand in his way.
