No Small Wonder is an alternative rock band that formed in Akron, Ohio in late December of 2006. They are fronted by the charismatic singer, Steve Roberts. He is a well-trained dynamic vocalist who has performed in many musical theatre productions as well as landed gigs working for MTV and also sang with the Linz Orchestra in Eastern Europe. Originally more focused on a career in theatre and film, he opted to leave New York City and come back to Ohio to begin his new fully realized dream: be a singer in a hard rock band. When he left the fickleness and pretentiousness of musical theatre, Steve landed himself directly into a rock band that was forming around guitarist/songwriter Jeremy Vandress. Jeremy was residing in Cleveland and was growing ever more frustrated with the local scene (a scene dominated by bad metal and industrial acts). He just wanted to rock out his blend of punchy catchy as hell songs (ala Fenix TX, Sugarcult, Lit). He would go out to bars, meet musicians and they would all tell him his music was too commercial. While they were trying to insult him, they made Jeremy realize the marketability of the band. Finally, he met up with a long lost friend/drummer, Steve O'Connell. Steve, along with twin brother Eric (on bass) had played in a previous band with Jeremy so the chemistry was already apparent. Steve quickly learned Jeremy's new material and then the quest for bassist (a quest most bands painfully must endure) went on for months until Eric agreed to jump on-board. With the line-up set, the quartet began feverishly practicing and playing out at parties and venues all over the Cleveland/Akron area (such as the Phantasy, The Funky Frog, The Hi-Fi Club, etc.). Members of No Small Wonder have had much stage experience, since they have shared the stage with such acts as Fall Out Boy, Off By One, The Early November and the Toasters (among others). The band also began working on their debut six-song EP with Bryan Patrick at Jungle Studios entitled "Short and Sweet". Armed with a pop/punk sound, thick guitars, pristine harmonies, clock-work drumming and thumping bass, the group plans a radio take-over.
