Moonrise With Shadow Mihaiu explores the occult, the paranormal, alternative spiritual paths, and just plain strange phenomena.
Shadow Mihaiu hosts this sometimes controversial, sometimes creepy, always interesting show. This series grew out of two previous projects: (1) a documentary entitled simply Moonrise, exploring the growth of Wicca and so-called "neo-pagan" spiritual paths in North America; and (2) the Moonrise With Shadow Mihaiu internet radio show, which explored paranormal, occult and cryptozoological topics.
Shadow Mihaiu's guests have included the noted Dianic Wiccan Starhawk (author of The Spiral Dance ), author, Qabalist and ceremonial magicial Lon Milo DuQuette , author and Witch Cristopher Penczak , and anti-Wiccan writer Steve Wohlberg. A highlight of the radio show was the daily tarot card reading, which Shadow Mihaiu did callers. Shadow Mihaiu is well known in the occult community, and as an occult scholar and initiate, his perspective is sometimes very different from the hosts and researchers in other paranormal shows. Issues on the show are explored in depth and with respect, but not everything is serious.
