Experimental Rock legends OhM are a Modern Alternative Rock band central to the Youngstown, Ohio area. (actually Salem in Columbiana County)
OhM consists of Kamoto-D (Mike), Guitar and Songwriter; G Rock (Greg), Prince of Percussion; Mistress Emma Rock, powerhouse vocalist and keyboard tweeker, Talented Tom Spack, bass guitar & coolness provider, and our newest member Steve Myers on rhythm guitar.
OhM has been covered in area newspapers and on TV due to their high-energy performances and ability to organize great events, charitble or otherwise.
OhM runs the popular "Local Flow" concert series. "Local Flow" is about promoting the Local music scene, raising awareness about social issues both locally and nationally and creating larger shows for bands to share their talents with bigger crowds.
OhM has been booked to open for National Acts such as Slightly Stoopid, Nonpoint, Hed (Pe), Kingspade (Kottonmouth Kings), Tech N9ne, Jimmy's Chicken Shack, Downset, Bedouin Soundclash, The Expendables, Phunk Junkeez, Mower, Pimpadelic, Judge D, Insolence, Critical-Bill, Ekoostik Hookah, and Saint Dogg (Kottonmouth Kings), not to mention international stars our friends, The BreezeWay.
OhM's music has been heard on the Main Stage at Peabody's, The Odeon, The Hi Fi, The Phantasy, and The Pirate's Cove in the Cleveland area, as well as many bars and clubs all around NE OHIO. Other cool local stops include Cedar's Lounge in Youngstown, and Club Khameleon in Kent.
OhM focuses on original music, but has a vast repetoir of covers it can whip out to please the crowd. Some of the bands OhM covers include 311, Bob Marley, Incubus, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rage Against the Machine, Weezer, Spacehog, Deftones, Green Day, Sublime, Black Sabbath, Metallica, The Toadies, Blind Melon, Otis Redding, Rolling Stones, Simon & Garfunkel, and more.
OhM has released these albums: Resistance of Sound (2003), Getting the Fear (2004), Live in Cleveland (2005), & Canvas Catastrophe (2006). We have a live DVD from a Peabody's performance that is available also. We are working on another compilation of Original Music, and several songs from that project are currently in our set list rotation.
OhM was featured on the internationally released CD compilation called "The Midwest Live & Love Compilation" on Little Fish records.
OhM has appeared on the radio twice on Mount Union's college radio station, WRMU 91.1 FM. Both times we were interviewed, and performed live in studio. Both of these performances are available on CD as well.
If you dig OhM and want to see OhM live at your favorite club, let us know. If you want to be our roadies, let us know. If you think this bio has been way too long, let us know. :)
