It's a BOY! On May 1st, 2008 at 12:31am Anthony Joseph Celio joined the family. He is an extremely calm and beautiful (we're biased though....) baby. He definitely is a good eater and very alert. We're getting to know each other after coming home from the hospital Friday night. To more photos, go to http://neovenator.com/blog.html. It is Anthony's Uncle John's blog but he was great in rushing photos to the web for all to see only hours after the birth. (Scroll to May 1st or 2nd to find AJ photos). As for "the story," here is how it happened: On Wednesday, May 30th, we drove together to Kaiser for our 41 week appointment. We had to park on the top of the parking garage and chose to walk down the stairs instead of the elevator. On the last flight of stairs, Kristin's water broke! We went to our appointment where they told us that she would have to stay and be induced. Kristin did a very good job with the tough labor without any pain meds and was rewarded by the 8 lbs, 1 oz baby that is 22 inches in length. For Mark, the miracle was watching the birth and then watching just how quickly Kristin went from "being in labor" to "being in love" immediately after receiving Anthony on her chest. We have been overwhelmed during these last nine months with prayers, love and support. Thank you so much. Once old enough, we'll make sure that Anthony writes everyone a thank you note but for now, he just wants to pass along his... ope! he is asleep again so we'll ask him later what he wanted to say.
